Chuncheon-made Musical 'Someday' Returns to Chuncheon

The musical Someday, a heartfelt family story created by Chuncheon-born director Jang Hyuk-woo and his troupe Muha, returns to Chuncheon Cultural Center on the 30th (7:30 pm) and 31st (4 pm). The show follows Yeon-su, who time-slips 20 years into her father Lee-am’s twenties to explore musical passion and family love. Having received production support from the Chuncheon Cultural Foundation, Someday expanded to Seoul’s Daehangno (a major theater district) in 2023 and ran continuously through six seasons — a first for a regional troupe — and won Best Play at the 2024 Chuncheon Theater Festival. Jang, who opened the small theatre “Yeon-guk-babodeul” (소극장 연극바보들) near Kangwon National University’s back gate in 2020, says the piece sings about empathy, hope and connecting generations, and he is moved to perform again for Chuncheon audiences.
