The 10th-anniversary run of the original comedy musical Dwarfs (난쟁이들) in Seoul’s Daehangno is selling out with a social media hit of over 94 million short-form views. Calling itself an “adult” (어른이) musical, the show twists Snow White, Cinderella and The Little Mermaid into a bawdy, satirical live-comedy revue that skewers materialism and vanity. Its plot follows Charlie, a worn-down dwarf who hopes to strike it rich by attending a ball; he discovers the fairy-tale princesses are shamelessly obsessed with money and appearance, except for the Little Mermaid. Packed with raunchy (19금) lines, suggestive scenes, catchy musical numbers, playful ad-libs and inventive B-movie–style choreography, the production relies on raw stage energy rather than big stars or lavish sets. Performances run through March 1, with tickets priced from 20,000 to 70,000 KRW.
