Solta Medical Korea held the 'SOMA Korea-Japan Aesthetic Medicine Symposium' on the 24th at Raum Art Center, bringing together Korean and Japanese aesthetic medicine experts for academic exchange. The meeting focused on aging characteristics of Asian skin and tailored treatment strategies, highlighting differences in dermal structure, fat distribution, and pigmentation between Asians and Westerners and how these affect treatment approaches. Sessions covered criteria for surgical vs. minimally invasive treatments, combined therapy strategies, trends in anti-aging procedures, preventive aesthetic consumption, and RF (radiofrequency)–based facial rejuvenation techniques. Participants also discussed joint Korea–Japan clinical research and the potential development of Asia-specific guidelines. Solta Medical Korea plans to continue expanding regional collaboration in aesthetic medicine.
