Veteran musician Kim Chang-wan released a new single, “Seventy (Seventy),” marking Kim Chang-wan Band’s first new song in 10 years. At a showcase in Seoul, the 72-year-old singer explained the title and song focus: not a lament of old age but a calm reflection that a child’s time and an elder’s time are equally precious. The track blends folk, ballad and progressive rock. The single also features “I Love You,” which includes a chorus by middle school students, and an upcoming children’s song collection inspired by a poem about a lost front tooth from his radio show. As he nears his 50th anniversary next year, Kim credits his longevity to never becoming complacent—always moving and changing like a “nomad.” (pangtagaraji: the showcase venue in Jongno, Seoul)
