CJ Olive Young said it will expand collaborations using popular IP (intellectual property) and will run its first collaboration of the year in February with the Korean character “Manggeureojin Bear.” After successful tie-ups last year with Sanrio characters and Pop Mart that boosted brand sales and drove large pop-up crowds, Olive Young plans more domestic and global IP partnerships to enhance customer brand experiences and lower participation barriers for brands. The Manggeureojin Bear collaboration features 119 items across 21 brands—beauty product packaging, lifestyle goods like plush keyrings and tumblers, plus limited freebies (goods given with purchases). Special pop-up events, exclusive webtoon content by creator Yurang, and interactive online sticker events will run during February at stores and Olive Young’s online malls. The campaign aims to blend online and offline experiences and deepen customer engagement.
