Daegu Symphony Orchestra (Daegu City Philharmonic) held a professional training course for 34 school orchestra teachers to strengthen music education in the region. The program, at Daegu Concert House, offers tailored curricula by school level: an advanced course for middle and high school teachers ran Jan. 26–28, followed by an elementary-level introductory course (Feb. 19–20). Music director and chief conductor Baek Jin-hyun and deputy conductor Park Hye-san led practical, hands-on sessions with orchestra members, focusing on conducting technique, ensemble balance, and score interpretation using works by Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven, Dvořák, Elgar, and Grieg. Participating teachers concluded with opportunities to conduct the Daegu Symphony. The initiative aims to deepen school-orchestra collaboration and provide ongoing music-education programs involving professional artists. (Daegu Concert House: a major performing arts venue in Daegu)
