Tarek Atoui Selected as 2026 Hyundai Commission Artist

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 27th that Lebanese-born, Paris-based artist and composer Tarek Atoui has been chosen as the 2026 artist for the high-profile ‘Hyundai Commission’ exhibition, a collaboration with the Tate in London. Known for multisensory performances that rethink sound through extensive research into music history, instruments, and production, Atoui will present new work in the Turbine Hall at Tate Modern. Now in its 11th year, the Hyundai Commission annually selects one artist to create a major new project in the heart of Tate Modern to support contemporary art.
