South Korea’s cosmetics industry is accelerating moves into overseas markets, targeting Europe (including France), the Americas, the Middle East and Russia. Musinsa Beauty announced 2026 as a turning point to become a “next beauty” player, prioritizing global expansion by leveraging domestic recognition, using brand ambassadors, launching new lines tailored to customer needs, and expanding online and offline channels. APR (A.P.R.) is pushing into Europe—already supplying MediCube and April Skin through distributors—and has placed products in stores such as La Samaritaine (Paris), Boots (UK) and DM (Italy), plus TikTok Shop UK and Amazon UK. Amorepacific’s Sulwhasoo entered the UK curation platform Cult Beauty with signature items like Yunjo Essence and Jaumsaeng Cream to grow its UK presence and explore offline partnerships. Dalba Global and Shinhwa International’s Amuse are also expanding in European drugstore chains and plan a Paris pop-up and full-store entries. In Russia, brands plan wide distribution through chains like L’Etoile (Letual), Gold Apple and Magnit, aiming for presence in over 600 outlets. Overall, Korean firms are aggressively broadening distribution and marketing to meet rising global demand for K-beauty.
