Major South Korean convenience chains GS25, CU and 7-Eleven are rolling out new alcoholic products and promotions ahead of the Lunar New Year. GS25 is offering a discounted pre-order for award-winning Cheongmyeongjuga rice wine (750 ml) and promoting Daisy Ale with app pickup deals (3 cans for about 10,500 KRW). CU will release limited-edition whiskies, including Nuri Miznara 2026 and Single Cask 2026, plus special 200 ml “keyring” soju bottles and multi-can beer discounts through a New Year “festa.” 7-Eleven restocked Neo25 White distilled soju, a collaboration with Netflix show-winning chef Choi Kang-rok, after the initial 10,000 bottles sold out; it also offers wine mini-books like “Cabernet Show-bin” and “Napa Cabernet.” Many items are limited or on pre-sale, aiming to boost gift and gathering purchases for the holiday season.
