Art Center Incheon is recruiting the second cohort of its Music Gifted Academy, with applications open until Feb 3 (5 PM) on the Art Center Incheon website. The academy, run by the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, identifies young classical music talents nationwide and provides structured training centered on performances. This year’s program expands enrollment from 40 to 50 students and adds a showcase concert to the curriculum. Five disciplines are offered — piano, violin, cello, flute, and clarinet — for students from 2nd grade elementary to 3rd year middle school. Auditions are Feb 14 at Art Center Incheon; applicants must perform one memorized solo (no contemporary pieces). Selected students receive weekly 3-hour sessions every Saturday from March to December, including one-on-one lessons, music theory, ear training, and stage practice. Tuition is 300,000 KRW per month, with scholarships for outstanding students. The authority aims to establish the program as a leading music gifted education platform in Incheon.
