Spanish Mask Play 'André & Dorine' Comes to Korea for First Time

The Spanish contemporary mask play André & Dorine is making its Korean debut at Gangnam Theater in Seoul on March 6–7. Performed by the Spanish company Kulunka Teatro, the nonverbal piece uses masks and physical movement to portray an elderly couple’s love, fading routine, and the challenges of dementia—drawing on the lives of French philosopher André Gorz and his wife Dorine. Since premiering in the Basque Country in 2010, the production has toured over 300 cities in more than 30 countries, earning global acclaim for conveying memory and emotion through gestures, eye contact, and body language rather than dialogue.
