Gangneung Coffee Festival Re-selected as National Cultural Tourism Festival

The Gangneung Coffee Festival has been re-selected as one of South Korea's '2026–2027 Cultural Tourism Festivals' by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Recognized for its strong local appeal and tourism impact, the festival will receive two years of government support including national funding, domestic and international promotion, tourism product development, content upgrades and AI-driven improvements. The Gangneung Cultural Foundation said it aims to grow the festival into a global coffee-culture platform representing Korean culture and to use it to attract visitors and boost the regional economy.
