SPC Samlip's 'Lunch Bread', priced at 1900 KRW (Korean Won), has gained massive popularity in South Korea, selling 500,000 units just two weeks after its launch. As lunch prices rise due to 'lunchflation' (lunch + inflation), these affordable bread options are attracting consumers looking for cost-effective meals. The series includes four types of bread - Tomato Pizza Bread, Corn Mayo Big Bread, Onion Cheese Bread, and Hambbokki Big Bread - and target students and office workers. The company plans to use a catchy CM song to promote these breads further on radio.
