Ambassador Seoul Pullman hotel is serving a course menu inspired by the hit tvN drama 'The Tyrant's Chef.' The immersive dining experience, planned by executive chef Shin Jong-chul who advised on the show, recreates dishes seen on screen and mixes them with the hotel’s own interpretations. The menu follows the drama’s protagonist (played by Im Yoon-ah), a French chef who time-travels to the Joseon era, and includes items such as yukhoe gamtae (raw Korean beef on seaweed cookie), seasonal vegetable gujeolpan (thin pancake wraps with seven herbs and seafood), crisp bread with rosemary, clear dried pollack consomme, ogolgye samgyetang (black-boned chicken ginseng soup covered in a pastry crust), escargot-and-clam doenjang pasta (fermented soybean paste), white-wine steamed cod, beef bourguignon using marinated galbisal (short rib meat), and black sesame rice macarons. The event also displays drama props for added immersion. Several dishes reinterpret traditional recipes (e.g., daeryeongsuksu — a high court chef title from Joseon) with modern techniques and fusion touches, highlighting delicate textures, balanced flavors, and seasonal ingredients.
