High1 Resort will hold the “2026 Fair for Products Made by Severely Disabled Workers” from Feb 1–2, marking the domestic hotel and resort industry’s first direct effort to open sales channels for goods produced by people with severe disabilities. The event, part of High1’s ESG (environment, social, governance) management, aims to support production facilities struggling amid the economic slowdown by connecting them with corporate buyers and general consumers to boost sales and stabilize employment. Participating organizations include a protected workshop in Inje producing EcoBly (biodegradable wet wipes made from eco-friendly materials), SinmangAe Iroomteo (developer of an “ESG detergent”), and Dreamz protected workshop, whose severely disabled artists will hold an art exhibition. On Feb 2, comedian Lee Sang-jun will close the fair with a “Chat Show” modeled on British talk shows. High1 said many companies have already requested purchase consultations, raising expectations for positive outcomes.
