On the 20th in Samcheong-dong, Seoul, Gallery Hyundai opened a curated exhibition titled 'Majesty and Creativity: Variations of Korean Minhwa' where visitors viewed works that bring together minhwa (folk paintings reflecting common people's lives and humor) and traditional court paintings (gunggung hwahwa - royal palace paintings). The show contrasts everyday motifs and playful imagery with the refined styles of court art to highlight creative dialogues within Korean painting traditions.
