WENEED, run by LiveX, is expanding its Korea-style shared-salon concept to Japan, promoting high-function hair and scalp care as part of the broader K-beauty evolution. Combining designer-led autonomy, performance-based rewards, and structured in-store management (a manager at each branch), WENEED differs from typical seat-rental shared salons by adding regular technical and mindset training and organizational programs. The brand operates 35 domestic branches (including premium “WENEED Black”) and aims for 50 this year. After opening its first Japan store in Nagoya last year—with pre-opening training where Korean designers taught cuts, perms and color, and a designer exchange program—the Nagoya shop ranked among the top 10 local salons on Japan’s Hot Pepper Beauty platform within a month. WENEED plans 10 Japan locations this year, with further expansion to Taiwan and Southeast Asia under consideration. LiveX also runs education platforms (BOB ACADEMY, HAIRCAMP) and salon brands (SALON A) and a product line TAMZ focused on functional scalp and haircare with dermal concepts and vegan formulas. LiveX aims to link education, salons and products into a unified K-beauty ecosystem.
