New Guidebook 'Flavors of Chungbuk' Showcases Generational Eateries and Local Favorites

Chungcheongbuk-do province has published a food guidebook titled 'Flavors of Chungbuk' that lists 63 generational (대물림) family-run restaurants, 142 places known for great rice (밥맛 좋은집), and 82 outstanding certified eateries. Each entry includes dishes, address, opening hours, closed days, and nearby recommended tourist spots. The guide also records winners of the province’s food contest that began in 1997. Officials hope the book will be a practical resource for fully enjoying Chungbuk’s local food scene.
