Sapporo’s Limited “Winter Story” Beer Sells Out as Seasonal Specialty

Sapporo’s winter-limited beer “Winter Story” is selling out in Korea as the brand markets it as a seasonal specialty brewed with the year’s best malts and hops and a new recipe each year. The 2025 edition increases aromatic Satsu (Satsuma?) pine hop (사츠산 파인 아로마 홉) and alcohol content for a deeper winter flavor, and uses snowflake illustrations on its packaging to highlight winter vibes. Korea’s official importer, M’s Beverage (엠즈베버리지), reports 2025 sales and convenience-store market share more than doubled compared with 2024 after release, driven by pop-up stores and a collaboration with a trendy Euljiro hotspot called “Ganppajin Sae” (간빠진새). Sapporo has been expanding its share of Korea’s imported beer market following recent successful launches, including a low-carb, low-purine light beer “Sapporo Draft 70” (삿포로 생맥주 70).
