The Busan National Science Museum reopened its renovated permanent exhibit hall 1, now titled the 'Automotive Zone', on the 20th. The exhibit reframes cars as a convergence of mechanics, physics, energy engineering and advanced IT, emphasizing hands-on experiences. The show is divided into three areas: basic automotive technologies and principles, sustainability and energy technologies, and future mobility and transportation innovation. Visitors can operate real models to learn about gears, power transmission and suspension (hyeongajangchi — suspension system), and try an electric vehicle 'pit zone' (pit jon — maintenance area) to practice tire and battery changes and explore EV structure in depth. The exhibit strengthens interactive displays to help visitors intuitively understand both traditional auto mechanics and emerging mobility technologies.
