South Korea’s Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) is accepting entries until Feb 20 for its 2026 workation (work + vacation) excellence program, aiming to find two local governments or regional tourism organizations with community-centered workation models. Winners will receive up to 200 million won in support for promotion and participant recruitment, plus joint online/offline marketing and events through partners like the Korea Chamber of Commerce. Eligible applicants must have at least one workation center with 20+ work seats, meeting rooms, and office equipment; evaluation will emphasize benefits to local residents and nearby businesses and links to existing municipal projects. Details are on the KTO portal “Touraz” (한국관광산업포털 ‘투어라즈’). KTO says the initiative seeks sustainable, stay-long tourism by nurturing community-based workation programs.
