A digital visual art exhibition titled "Venus Project" runs at Yeongwol Cultural & Arts Center until next month 5, presenting AI-generated works that blend the paintings of Lee In-seong with the poetry of Lee Sang-hwa. Selected as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s 2025 regional exhibition activation program, the show uses generative AI trained on about 60 poems and paintings to create new digital paintings that merge poetic language with artistic style. The exhibit features AI reinterpretations of three poems, a technical section showing how two AI models were developed and combined, and an interactive program where visitors can take part in the creation process. Works are displayed as digital paintings, "meta-paintings", and printed canvases. The project is led by PK Art&Media with AI model development by AICU (a company founded by a neuroscience team from Kyungpook National University Medical School). The foundation hopes the exhibition will broaden access to AI-based digital art in the region.
