Krystian Zimerman Piano Recital to Close Tour in Daegu

Polish world-renowned pianist Krystian Zimerman will give the finale of his Korean tour at Daegu Concert House Grand Hall on Jan. 22 at 7:30 PM. Following sold-out performances in Daejeon, Seoul, and Busan, Zimerman will present a unique program of 24 Preludes (short piano pieces) in different keys, with the exact order revealed only on the day. Known for limiting his annual concerts and transporting his own Steinway piano for meticulous tuning, Zimerman rose to fame after winning the 1975 Chopin Competition and has recorded widely for Deutsche Grammophon, exploring repertoire from Beethoven and Chopin to Polish composers like Szymanowski.
