The bakery posted photos on Instagram, describing the cake’s layered chocolate sponge and sweet cream topped with abundant fresh strawberries and noting the cake’s 2.3 kg heft symbolizes Seongsimdang’s generous spirit. Launched on January 30, 2023 as 'Strawberry Chocolate,' the cake was later renamed 'Strawberry Siru' inspired by 'siru-tteok' (traditional Korean steamed rice cake) for its layered look.
