Woori Bank Signs Sponsorship with T1, Extends 8-Year Support for LCK

Woori Bank announced a new official sponsorship deal with global League of Legends (LoL) team T1, continuing its eight-year partnership with the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK). T1, founded in 2012, holds the record for most international LoL championships (6) and recently became the first team to win three consecutive World Championships in 2025. The team is led by superstar Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, often called the “God” of LoL, who recently received Korea’s top sports honor, the Cheongryong Medal (청룡장). Woori Bank has a long history of supporting esports — including LCK main partnership, Asian Games national team sponsorship, and Valorant VCT Pacific support — and aims to boost brand affinity among younger fans, expand global reach, and explore esports-linked financial products targeted at MZ generation customers. The bank said it will continue creating new experiences that blend finance and esports culture through collaboration with T1.
