Popular dancer Rihei (real name Lee Hye‑in), leader of dance crew CocaNButter and known from Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter (스우파), has made her musical debut in Sisyphus at Daehangno, Seoul. A former prizewinner in youth singing contests, Rihei long dreamed of being a versatile musical performer but grew up in Jeju and focused on practical dance in college, putting the dream aside. After gaining fame as a dancer she auditioned for the Orchard Musical Company production, moved the director with a heartfelt performance of “Saldamyeon” from the musical Seopyeonje, and won the role of the Poet (포엣) — a character who questions whether art can save humanity — in this meta‑theatrical piece that weaves Camus’s The Stranger and the myth of Sisyphus. She prepared rigorously, learning all songs and lines, and discovered new techniques such as holding still onstage while keeping energy and shaping breath and eye contact — skills she says also improve her dance. Following this successful transition, Rihei plans to continue studying acting and pursue roles that use her body expressively.
