Suzuki Yui’s novel 'Goethe Said Everything' reached No.1 on Kyobo Bookstore’s overall sales ranking in the second week of January, gaining momentum after critic Lee Dong-jin’s recommendation and word-of-mouth. Readers in their 30s made up the largest share; 55.8% of buyers were women. Literature remained strong with Kim Ae-ran’s 'I Said Goodbye' at No.2, Han Roro’s 'Grapefruit Apricot Club' at No.4, and Seong Hae-na’s 'Honmono' at No.6; Ku Byung-mo’s 'Masterpiece' and Yang Gui-ja’s 'Contradiction' stayed in the top 10. Investment books also climbed: Lee Kwang-su’s 'Stock Investment for Progress' rose to No.3 and Seong Seung-hyun’s 'Trend-Following Investment with One Candle Chart' entered at No.5. Trend guide 'Trend Korea 2026' remained popular at No.7.
