Play: 'Mending the Living' adapts Maylis de Kerangal’s novel into a one-person Korean stage piece that traces a 24-hour organ transplant journey: a 19-year-old Simon is declared brain-dead and his heart is transplanted into 51-year-old Claire. One actor performs multiple roles—Simon, doctors, family members, and an organ transplant coordinator—over a 100-minute run. Cast rotates among Son Sang-gyu, Kim Sin-rok, Kim Ji-hyun, and Yoon Na-mook. Runs at the National Jeongdong Theater through March 8.
Film Concert: 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King in Concert' presents the original soundtrack (OST) by composer Howard Shore performed live by orchestra and opera chorus synchronized to the full film on a large screen. The Korea Coop Orchestra, conducted by Young Lee Si-heung (Siheung Yeong-i?), and soprano Grace Davidson appear on stage. Performances on the 17th and 18th at the Sejong Center’s Grand Theater.
