Sejong Cyber University’s Barista & Sommelier Department held a New Year gathering at a café run by alumni. Students, graduates, and faculty met to exchange greetings, share encouragement, and strengthen bonds through networking. Attendees came from across Korea — including Iksan (Jeonbuk), Pohang (Gyeongbuk), and Dangjin (Chungnam) — signaling a move beyond the online-centered learning environment to in-person community building. Faculty outlined the department’s plans for the year, highlighting enhanced education, hands-on practice, and field-linked programs. Department head Eom Kyung-ja said the event reinforced cohesion and community spirit and promised tighter connections among expert guest lectures, practical field training, and competition participation to build workplace-ready professional skills.
