Korean Musical Awards Reveals Star-Studded Celebration Lineup

The 10th Korean Musical Awards will take place on the evening of the 19th at Sejong Center Main Theater, featuring celebratory performances from leading Korean musicals. The opening pays tribute to 10 years of original Korean musicals, starting with numbers from Maybe Happy Ending (어쩌면 해피엔딩) and ANNE (앤ANNE). Performers from Fanletter (팬레터), The Dwarfs (난쟁이들), and the nominated Hanbok Man (한복 입은 남자) — about Joseon scientist Jang Yeong-sil — will appear; lead Park Eun-tae will sing “I Miss You” (그리웁다). Shadow (쉐도우) will perform several songs including “I Will Survive,” and Mongyudowon (몽유도원) will debut “The Wedding of the Garden” with a 20-person ensemble. Beetlejuice (비틀쥬스) stars will perform “That Beautiful Sound.” The finale features MC Lee Geon-myung, new actor nominees, and international contest winners performing the first original Korean musical “Saljjagi Obseoye” to mark 60 years of Korean musical theatre.
