K-musical 'Sweagegei (Swag Age) Shout, Joseon!' Wins First BroadwayWorld UK/West End Award

The K-musical 'Sweagegei, Shout, Joseon!' has become the first South Korean original musical to win a BroadwayWorld UK/West End Award, taking the 2025 prize for Best Concert Production, producer PL Entertainment announced on Jan. 14. The awards, run by UK performing-arts media outlet BroadwayWorld, are decided by audience votes and honor plays, musicals and concerts staged across the UK during the year. The new Best Concert Production category evaluates concert-style showcases and stage concerts. The musical presented key numbers last September at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End. The producer said the recognition shows the show’s story and message resonated with international audiences across language and cultural boundaries.
