MyRealTrip, a leading South Korean travel super-app, released its ‘2025 Travel Trends’ report showing over 3 million bookings across flights, stays, tours and tickets, with around 1 million flight reservations. Top flight destinations were Jeju, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo and Busan—nearby, easily accessible places with strong repeat demand. Tours and tickets (about 2 million bookings) highlighted a shift toward experience-focused spending; top cities were Osaka, Tokyo, Paris, Taipei and Fukuoka. Accommodation bookings totaled 400,000 reservations representing about 800,000 nights—equivalent to roughly 2,191 years of stays—led by Jeju, Incheon, Osaka, Seoul and Paris, underscoring steady popularity of domestic “ho-cation” (호캉스, hotel-based vacation) and urban stays. Emerging destinations for 2025 included Shanghai, Nagoya, Bali, Porto and Macao, reflecting recovery in major Chinese cities and diversification to regional Japan, Southeast Asia and Europe. Founded in 2012 as a guided-tour marketplace, MyRealTrip has grown into a one-stop platform covering flights, lodging, car rentals and activities, with 10 million cumulative users and 5 million monthly active users. The company plans to strengthen partnerships with airlines and agencies, expand lodging offerings, and focus on inbound services to meet rising interest driven by K-culture. A MyRealTrip spokesperson said 2025 saw clear growth in travel demand and experience-centered consumption, and the company will enhance competitiveness across categories and expand inbound market efforts to become a global travel platform.
