Girls' Generation's Seohyun to Debut as Violin Soloist with Sol Philharmonic

Seohyun, former member of K-pop girl group Girls' Generation and now an actress, will make her violin solo debut on March 13 at Lotte Concert Hall with the Sol Philharmonic Orchestra. Her agency said she began learning violin about five months ago as a hobby and will perform Vittorio Monti’s “Csárdás.” The Sol Philharmonic is an amateur orchestra (composed of non-professional members) and will also play works including Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 and Vivaldi’s “Spring” from The Four Seasons, conducted by Jo Sang-wook. Seohyun said she aims to share her sincere passion for music rather than technical perfection and hopes her challenge brings classical music closer to audiences.
