Korean original musical 'SWAG AGE: Shout, Joseon!' won Best Concert Production at the 2025 BroadwayWorld UK/West End Awards, marking the first time a K-created musical has received this honor and the inaugural winner of the newly established category. The concert-style showcase, staged last September at the Gillian Lynne Theatre in London’s West End, earned the award through 100% audience voting organized by BroadwayWorld. The awards covered shows that premiered between Oct 1, 2024 and Sep 30, 2025 across over 100 cities worldwide. 'SWAG AGE'—set in a fictional Joseon (Joseon: the historical Korean dynasty) where people resist oppression through sijo (sijo: a traditional Korean three-line poem) and dance—debuted in 2019 and has been praised for its blend of historical themes and modern performance styles.
