The National Young Yeonhui Ensemble, a new state-supported youth traditional performance group, opens its first regular show “Dangsan: Log” on Jan 16–17 at the National Busan Gugak Center. The original performance blends traditional yeonhui (Korean folk theater) elements—like nongak (farmers’ percussion), shamanic rites, and tightrope acts—with media art to depict community, conflict and hope. It is free. On Jan 28 the Busan Municipal Arts Troupe presents a barrier-free concert “Harmony” at Busan Cultural Center, featuring collaborations between city ensembles and local artists with developmental disabilities: Companion Music Ensemble, pungmul troupe Gulleongsoe (folk percussion/dance), the city choir and gugak orchestra. The program includes Accessible services—audio description, sign language, braille, and guide dogs—to ensure cultural access for all. Free with reservation.
