Urbanplay's experiential exhibition 'Ultra Department Store Seoul' opens Season 2 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) from Feb 6 to Mar 27. The show expands the idea of a 'department store' from selling goods to a space for choosing and experiencing content and tastes. Its core theme, 'post-subculture,' examines how formerly fringe subcultures merge with personal identity to create new consumption trends and enter the mainstream. The exhibition is arranged into zones—FINDER (discoverer), COLLECTOR (collector), and CUSTOMER (consumer)—and emphasizes participatory, choice-driven experiences where visitors' selections and records become part of the show. Season 1 'Hyper Algorithm' drew strong interest from MZ generation and foreign visitors and was extended; early-bird Season 2 tickets opened with 30% discounts via Naver and Kakao.
