Seoul’s public fashion platform HiSeoul Showroom is piloting a new industry model that links cultural content (IP) with product, distribution and marketing. The ‘2026 HiSeoul Showroom Art Collabo Project’ pairs 11 selected designer brands with actor-artist Park Shin-yang’s theatrical solo exhibition ‘Park Shin-yang’s Exhibition Show: The Fourth Wall’ at Sejong Center (Sejong문화회관). Each brand reinterprets Park’s artworks into collaborative products sold through the exhibition’s merch shop, HiSeoul Showroom pop-ups and online channels (W Concept and brand webstores), turning the show into both a distribution channel and marketing hub. Park’s exhibition—framed as Korea’s first theatrical exhibition—immerses visitors in a staged artist’s studio where painting, theatre and space merge, offering an experiential retail audience likely to convert into buyers. Organizers aim to scale this public-led experiment by expanding collaborations with exhibition, performance and art IPs to boost Seoul fashion brands’ market presence and global competitiveness.
