Netflix hit show 'The Black & White Chefs 2' has driven strong demand for luxury hotel restaurants in Seoul after featuring several chefs from top hotels. Reservations for Eatanic Garden (이타닉 가든) and L'Amant Secret (라망 시크레) at Chosun Palace (조선 팰리스) sold out within five minutes when monthly bookings opened. Chef Son Jong-won, who led L'Amant Secret to a Michelin star and later managed Eatanic Garden, gained renewed attention after appearing on the program. Both restaurants have also earned recognition on La Liste and Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Seoul Shilla Hotel’s Chinese restaurant Paxton (팔선)—the training ground for contestants including Hu Deok-juk, Choi Yoo-kang, and Cheon Sang-hyun—has seen a surge in inquiries and faster bookings. Conversely, Geumryong (금룡) at Grand Walkerhill has not benefited because former head chef Lee Mun-jung no longer works there, so reservations remain unchanged.
