Binggrae has resolved to merge with its wholly owned subsidiary Haitai Ice Cream, with a board vote scheduled for next month and the merger set for April 1. The consolidation keeps Binggrae as the surviving company and aims to integrate duplicated business units and streamline processes to boost efficiency and profitability. Since acquiring Haitai Ice Cream in October 2020, Binggrae achieved a turnaround to profit and steady sales growth through joint marketing and shared logistics. The merged firm plans to expand sales channels, including exports and e-commerce, to strengthen competitiveness at home and abroad and become a global food company.
