Which Day Has the Cheapest Flights from Korea? Thursday on Average, but It Depends

Skyscanner analyzed Korea-origin flight searches and found that, on average, Thursday has the cheapest fares, though the cheapest day varies by destination and month. Year-round lowest-cost destinations from Korea include Jeju Island (Jeju-do) with an average round-trip fare of ₩151,904, followed by Qingdao (China) and several Japanese cities like Takamatsu, Shizuoka, and Tokyo. Monthly cheapest destinations shift with the season: Busan tops January–February, small Japanese cities in spring, and Jeju in summer and autumn. Off-season months such as March and September can yield round-trip fares under ₩100,000. Skyscanner also reports that 83% of surveyed Korean travelers plan to travel this year, but 71% feel financial pressure—76% cite cost concerns—and many struggle to decide when or where to go.
