The historical drama 'Schumann' returns with new casting, opening March 14 at Good Theater in Daehangno, Seoul. Based on the real lives of 19th-century German composers Robert Schumann, Clara Schumann, and Johannes Brahms, the play—praised since its 2023 premiere—explores the artists' creative struggles, love, and moral choices. Original cast member Park Sang-min will portray Robert Schumann; Kim Jung-hwa and Jung Ae-yeon share the role of Clara Schumann (a celebrated pianist and Robert's wife); Oh Seung-yoon and Kim I-dam play Johannes Brahms (one of the famed German “3B” composers alongside Beethoven and Bach). Writer-director-composer Hwi (Park Byung-geon) leads the production, promising historically informed staging and musical storytelling. Produced by PH E&M and UMI Entertainment, performances run through April 12 in Daehangno.
