On February 4 at Seoul Arts Center (예술의전당) Concert Hall, world-renowned violinist Isabelle Faust and pianist Alexander Melnikov will perform together in Korea for the first time in 14 years. The duo will present a program focused on 20th-century experimental works that push the violin’s expressive limits, including Prokofiev’s Five Melodies Op.35, Shostakovich’s Sonata in G major Op.134, Schoenberg’s Fantasy Op.47, and Busoni’s Sonata No.2 in E minor Op.36a. Faust is praised for her deep, studied interpretations and restrained tone, while Melnikov is known for penetrating structural insight and delicate expression, especially in 20th-century repertoire. Tickets are available through the Seoul Arts Center website, call center, and NOL Ticket. (예술의전당: Seoul Arts Center)
