Enameled cast-iron Dutch ovens like Le Creuset are prized for even, long-lasting heat but require careful care. The most common mistake is using a dishwasher — repeated cycles dull and degrade the enamel (에나멜) coating. Instead, wash by hand with a mild detergent; for stubborn residue, simmer baking soda and water to loosen grime before wiping. Check for chips or hairline cracks during cleaning, as small damages reduce durability over time. Avoid shocking hot cookware with cold water, and don’t use abrasive tools like steel wool that can scratch the interior. As with uncoated pans, periodic seasoning helps preserve nonstick and rust-resistant properties.
