Everland, a popular winter outing spot in Korea, attracted about 60,000 visitors from Jan 1–10 thanks to its new winter theme event “Bungeo-bbang Rush,” the first installment of the monthly “Whatever Series.” The park turned its Alpine Village into a giant bungeo-bbang (붕어빵: fish-shaped pastry) theme zone offering over 10 varieties (sweet red bean, custard, pizza, etc.), photo spots, events, and merchandise. Interactive attractions include magnetic fish-catching (win stickers, pastry vouchers, or baking experience), character photo times, and goods like hats and hand warmers. The bungeo-bbang offerings pair well with the Snow Buster sledding area—three sled courses including a 200m express—so visitors can enjoy sledding, hot pastries, and family-friendly snow activities. Everland says combining food, play, and experiences around this winter snack has been well received.
