LG-affiliated Food Units Replace Ourhome in Corporate Catering

After Ourhome was acquired by Hanwha, many corporate catering contracts once run by Ourhome have shifted not to large outside providers but to in-group food and hospitality affiliates of the so-called "범LG family" (related LG-affiliated groups). Examples include LG-owned D&O taking over catering at an LG U+ office in Busan, GS-affiliate GCS becoming sole caterer at GS Construction’s Jongno headquarters, and LIG Home & Meal gaining rights at multiple LS group sites. These moves show groups favor using internal or closely related F&B units—D&O, GCS, LIG Home & Meal—rather than opening contracts to big external caterers. Analysts say this reflects enduring business ties among LG-origin spin-offs and raises entry barriers for major outside catering firms. The shifts may also follow strategic cooperation (MOU) among related groups and reflect each affiliate’s existing hospitality or facilities-management capabilities.
