Hyungji Elite (Hyeongji Elite) signed a school uniform supply contract with Kyoto International Junior & Senior High School, marking the first full entry of a Korean uniform maker into the Japanese market. Starting next March, all students will wear Elite uniforms after a signing ceremony held at the school. Kyoto International, a Korea-affiliated school in Japan that gained national attention by winning the 2024 Koshien high school baseball championship (Koshien is Japan’s national high school baseball tournament) and having players sing a Korean school song on NHK, praised the uniforms’ functional fabrics, active designs, and stylish, student-centered look. Hyungji Elite said introducing Korean-style casual uniforms to a traditionally conservative Japanese uniform market opens new lifestyle-wear opportunities; the school expects the new uniforms to strengthen its identity. The company plans to expand its product lineup over time and build a long-term partnership in Japan.
