On January 21 at 7:30 PM, Daegu Concert House Grand Hall will host the Vienna Boys' Choir, the world’s oldest and most beloved boys' choir founded in 1498. Led by Kapellmeister Manuel Huber (conductor), the choir—organized into four independent ensembles and performing some 300 times a year—will present a program blending classical pieces, waltzes, and folk songs. The concert includes works by Gallus, Saint-Saëns, and Franck; Viennese favorites by Johann Strauss II such as "The Blue Danube" and "Voices of Spring"; and a rousing finish with Johann Strauss I’s "Radetzky March." International folk songs and modern arrangements will bridge generations and cultures, and for Korean audiences the choir will perform the traditional Korean folk song "Arirang" (a famous Korean folk song) and "Sanyuhwa" (a choral piece based on a Kim Sowol poem, composed by Lee Hyun-chul). Tickets: R 50,000 KRW, S 30,000 KRW; suitable for elementary school children and up.
