KORAIL Tourism Development Opens Online Platform to 16 Small Travel Agencies

KORAIL Tourism Development is recruiting 16 small domestic travel agencies from June 5–12 to join its renewed online platform’s “Overseas Travel” category. Eligible agencies must sell overseas tours for Korean customers and have 2024 sales under ₩60 billion. Selected firms receive free platform entry for 2026, a dedicated account, support to register up to four products, and online/offline marketing assistance. Required registrations include domestic/international travel agency licenses, mail-order business registration, and business guarantee insurance. Selection prioritizes new applicants and aims to help small agencies challenged by high OTA (online travel agency) commissions build stable sales, support local economies, and align with government small-business recovery efforts. Final results will be notified individually on June 13.
