Kolmar Korea Wins CES Beauty Tech’s Top Innovation Award for Scar Beauty Device

Korean cosmetic ODM Kolmar Korea won the CES 2026 Beauty Tech Top Innovation Award for its AI-powered "Scar Beauty Device," also taking a Digital Health innovation award. The device is a world-first all-in-one tool that diagnoses, treats and covers scars: a smartphone app photographs the wound, AI classifies it into 12 types, then a piezoelectric micro-spray (압전 미세 분사 기술) precisely applies treatment while automatically mixing from 180 color shades to provide cover makeup. The unit’s intuitive UI lets users monitor and control spray dose in real time. Kolmar plans a tech launch in the first half of the year, customer acquisition in the second half, and to apply the spray tech to customized cosmetics and smart factories while linking to government AI transition (AX) projects. At CES they also demonstrated an AI-based scalp microbiome diagnosis solution called CAIOME (두피 카이옴). (Note: ODM = original design manufacturer.)
