LF Vice Chairman Oh Kyoo-sik Calls for Brand-driven Transformation to Win Customers

LF Vice Chairman and CEO Oh Kyoo-sik declared this year a turning point to become a “future lifestyle comprehensive company.” In his New Year’s message he urged accelerating brand-centered management and global expansion amid a slow-growth, uncertain economic environment. He said fashion will shift from size competition to brand power and fast-track global growth for proven labels like Hazzys (헤지스) and Dunst (던스트). The beauty arm will grow the ATE Beauty (아떼 뷰티) brand overseas as a core future business. In food, LF plans M&A to vertically integrate manufacturing by category, develop high-margin “killer products,” expand exclusive rights for foreign brands, and build a private-label (PB) food distribution business. Real estate finance will scale assets and refine domestic and international portfolios. Oh encouraged employees to respond proactively with creativity, autonomy and innovation to become brands “chosen by customers.”
